This service provides a complete plug-and-play cloning solution for the Bosch ME2.8 engine control unit, used across a wide range of European V8 and V12 engines. The ME2.8 ECU was installed in many BMW, Mercedes-Benz, and Rolls-Royce applications during the late 1990s and early 2000s.

These ECUs commonly fail due to age, heat, moisture, corrupted EEPROM or flash memory, failed tuning attempts, or internal hardware degradation. Using professional BDM-style bench tools, all critical data from your original ECU is cloned to your replacement unit, including:

  • EEPROM memory

  • Flash memory

  • ISN / immobilizer data

  • VIN

  • Software configuration

  • Adaptations when supported

The replacement ECU becomes a true plug-and-play module with no dealer coding or programming required.

  • CL-Class (C215) – CL500 / CL600

  • SL-Class (R230 early)

  • E-Class (W210 late V8 models)

  • ML-Class (early V8 models)

(Some markets and years may use ME2.7, ME2.8, or ME2.8.1 depending on engine.)


Rolls-Royce (pre-BMW takeover)

Certain pre-2003 Rolls-Royce models used ME2.8-based control systems on BMW-based engines.


Other manufacturers (limited use)

  • Morgan V8 models using BMW M62 engines
